UPSHIFT youth built a Rapid Organic Waste Composter with vendors at the morning market—cleaner stalls and soil that feeds local farms.
Each morning, Luang Prabang’s market produces piles of vegetable scraps. A youth team under Sinxay UPSHIFT asked a simple question: what if that waste became value for farmers nearby?
With mentorship and seed support, the team diverted hundreds of kilos of organic waste in the first weeks and partnered with vendors through a simple stamp-card system.
